Go to the Beach with Forrest Frank!

It’s been an absolutely stacked couple of weeks for new music. Forrest Frank just dropped a full project today, and on top of that we’ve got fresh tracks from Brandon Lake and Franni Cash. I’m throwing them your way in no particular order, strictly to avoid any “favorite child” accusations. Catch me weekday afternoons on WayFM and tell me which one’s on repeat for you

Party Wave with Forrest Frank SOS

Party Wave is something totally new from Forrest Frank, a collab with Noah Hayden that feels like a creative left turn in the best way. The sound? Think chill, early-morning surf session with the sun just coming up. The whole album rides this super unique wave (a friend of mine called it “lo-fi surf-pop,” which honestly nails it). It’s different, it’s vibey and I think you’re gonna be into it.

Brandon Lake and Lainey Wilson The Jesus I Know

Brandon Lake has been inching toward a country sound for a while now, and as someone with a long-standing complicated relationship with country music I was skeptical. But this new track with Lainey Wilson? It’s undeniable. It’s all about Jesus meeting people right where they are, and fair warning: you might not make it through the first couple listens without getting a little emotional. Do I personally love the steel guitar? Still no. But this stripped-down, straight-to-the-heart presentation of the gospel? Completely unskippable.

Franni Cash Raised by Wolves

Last on the list is the one I really wish every station had on repeat: “Raised by Wolves” from Franni Cash. It tells the story of being raised in a religious cult, breaking free, and ultimately being rescued by Jesus. Pair that with an absolutely undeniable bass line, and you’ve got a track that hits both your heart and your speakers. I threw it straight onto my workout playlist (which, for me, is basically the highest honor a song can get).

Looking for some more music to add to your playlist? Check out these 5 songs I've been working out to this year!
