Welcome to the list that I wish had when I was an expecting mom!
When you are about to have your first child and you realize it's time to register for gifts, it can be overwhelming! Just walking into Buy, Buy, Baby and you will see so many kind of baby monitors and bibs it can feel impossible to know which ones to choose. I am passionate about helping other women not feel so clueless. So when a girlfriend asked me what she needed, I made a VERY extensive list. If you know anyone who is about to have a baby, please share this with them and hopefully it can serve as a tool to make getting baby items easier!
Intro bottle kit from Dr. Brown’s or another brand Bottle sterilizer (optional) but made things easier for us since not breastfeeding. Got ours on Amazon. :  Bottle cage for dishwasher : Bibs (easy to slip on and wash ) , Burp cloths or Muslim blankets
Diaper genie of some sort - we like our munchkin diaper pail. Keeps the smell in better.
Swaddles : , Blue, Small, 8-13 lbs, Dramatically Better Sleep, Allow Baby to Sleep in Their Preferred arms up Position for self-Soothing, - Swaddle Transition Product - Cotton-Blue-3-6 Months 100% Cotton, Triangle Neutral, Multi, Small Crib Crib mattress Waterproof crib cover sheet :  (I bought two water proof covers to layer them so I wouldn’t have to change sheets at night when he wet the bed. Only pull off first layer of sheet and waterproof cover to reveal second set on bed. *MOM HACK*) Crib sheets - white noise worked best for us. Black out curtains Bassinet until they are in their own room Back pillow- we LOVED using this in bed while up at night with Judah. It was a life saver: Â
Socks Hats Onesies Pants Shorts/ skirts Footie Sleepers with zippers - buttons are so annoying. Jackets
Diaper bag Diaper holder that goes in diaper bag : High chair Car seat and base Stroller - highly recommend rubber wheels. Our plastic ones made for a bumpy not fun ride. Baby silverware for later :... Dreft laundry detergent for baby clothes Â
(our fav and comes with newborn sling:) Baby Bath towels and wash cloths Baby soap and gentle lotion
Thermometer or bulb to get snot (you don’t think you will want to use it but it helps so much!) Syringe with measurements Infants Tylenol and Motrin
I wanted to be super prepared so I got the . It’s expensive but I liked the gown and a starter kit for healing your body after. Here is the link: If you don’t want the $100 kit. I would get: : BIRCHWOOD Laboratories A-E-R Pre-Moistened Witch Hazel Pads, 160 Count (Pack of 4) This is SO much better than the one at the hospital they give you. These are awesome too! You get some at the hospital and I asked for more before I left and took some home. I just loved having plenty. *I had a tougher labor so I needed a to sit on and I LOVED it.* Â
I hope this list was helpful to you. If there is an item you LOVED that I am missing please comment with it below!
