When the Little Things You Do Feel Invisible

From: Joy SummersLast night, my husband accidentally broke a fall decoration I love, and I cried.
I wish I could tell you it was entirely about the decoration. But the truth is, I had spent the day trying to do all the things: clear the table, wash the dishes, tackle the laundry, finish my work, clear the clutter, and somehow keep everyone’s lives moving. By the time that decoration broke, I was already at my limit.
“I do so much here,” I said, “and I feel like nobody considers me.”
Maybe you’ve had a moment like that. The thing that finally makes you cry is small, but everything you’ve been carrying behind it is not.
I went upstairs to pout, and in the quiet, I felt God reminding me of something I needed to hear: He sees the work that no one applauds. The dishes you wash again. The clothes you fold again. The needs you notice before anyone has to ask. None of it is invisible to Him.
Hebrews 6:10 reminds us that God does not forget the love we show as we serve others. That comforted me. I don’t have to earn His attention by doing more. I already have it.
I also realized I needed to tell my family how overwhelmed I felt. Being seen by God doesn’t mean I have to carry everything alone or pretend I never need help.
So if today finds you doing the same quiet tasks you did yesterday, I hope you’ll remember this: your work matters, even when it has to be done again tomorrow. God sees the love in it. And it’s okay to ask the people around you to see you, too.

Hebrews 6:10 “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”
Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
