What do a shoebox, a scarf and a sticky note all have in common? They have the power to change a life! In and of themselves these items may not mean much but they ended up meaning the world to Yves Dushime. He was a kid growing up in a refugee camp in the Congo in Africa when an Operation Christmas Child shoebox with a scarf and a sticky note set him on a new path to God. Today he works with Operation Christmas Child to make sure that kids all over the world are not forgotten and are told about Jesus. My wife and I even got to hand deliver some OCC shoeboxes in Trinidad. It was so amazing to see kids as excited over pencils and toothpaste as our kids are about Xboxes and bikes. There was no jealousy over what a child did or didn’t get. There was just pure joy and kids gladly shared with each other. It was the true meaning of Christmas being lived out right in front of me! It doesn't take a lot of effort to make a big difference.  Pack a shoebox today with Operation Christmas Child!
