 The 16th Annual North Texas Giving Day is Thursday, September 19th and 89.7 WayFM is partnering with DFW charities and ministries to help raise funds. North Texas Giving Day is powered by Communities Foundation of Texas who helps thousands of non-profits raise critical funds every year. CFT has awarded more than $2 billion in grants since 1953. Again this year, 89.7 WayFM is featuring participating non-profits on the air and online to increase their awareness and inform listeners about local organizations that address issues important to them. WhenWeLove works to ease the stress caused by poverty; we serve no-income, low-income and homeless individuals and families and walk with them through the process of regaining their dignity, value and worth as they learn new life skills that lead to self-sufficiency. Through individual assessments, relational case management and group mentoring we offer every person we serve the opportunity for self-improvement and life transformation

One by One mentors and educates new moms to parent well. We recruit and train Christian women using our evidence-based curriculum to serve as mentors to pregnant and new moms looking for help. Mentors walk alongside moms - without judgment - to provide support and encouragement; educate on baby health, wellness, safety, and development; and teach parenting and life skills.  Each mentor works with her mom throughout the mom's pregnancy and at least until her child turns one.

   

The purpose of the Union Gospel Mission Dallas is to provide God's hope to hungry, homeless, hurting and helpless people in Dallas. We partner with others to provide food, shelter, clothing, transportation, job readiness training, counseling, healthcare, temporary housing and affording housing to those in need. At Union Gospel Mission Dallas, we are transforming lives to end homelessness one person at a time.
