I had to have all four of my wisdom teeth extracted by
eDentist Emergency Dentists.
It wasn’t quite as bad as I had imagined, but only being able to eat soft foods is
the worst. This sounds weird, but I’ve really been craving cheeseburgers. Since chewing is a definite issue with stitches in my mouth, I’ve pretty much been eating the diet of an infant. Then I'm always asked for tips on finding the best local dentist, and in these days, it has to be online reviews. So, for example if you want
the best dentists in Tijuana then simply check the reviews of the dentists there and you will then know which is the best.
Yet, this experience reminded me of what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:1-2 (NLT),
“Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in Christ. I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready.”
Babies start out drinking milk because it’s all they can handle, but as they get older, they begin to want solid food.
The same is true for Christians. Learning about Jesus and salvation is incredible and satisfying for new believers. However, once we’ve been Christians for a while, we need spiritual meat in order to mature in our faith.
Not being able to eat meat this week has been a challenge. I mean, applesauce and ice cream are wonderful, but they aren’t enough to be fully satisfied from.
That's when God showed me this was not only the story of my physical life, but my spiritual life as of late.
I’ve been so caught up trying to do well at work and at school that I haven’t made proper time to spend with Jesus. I’ve been drinking spiritual milk, but that alone
isn’t enough. Even if I can’t eat cheeseburgers for a little while, I can grow deeper in my faith and be nourished by spiritual meat.

How is your walk with the Lord? Are you drinking spiritual milk or eating spiritual meat?
Spiritual milk is the basics of the Bible- learning about Bible characters and understanding the gospel message. Spiritual meat is obtained when we surrender our all to Jesus. Instead of focusing on what our flesh desires, our focus will be on what He desires. Instead of simply knowing the stories and teachings of the Bible, those who crave spiritual meat will start applying them to their own lives and start turning their faith into action.
Ultimately, spiritual meat is like going the next level with Jesus. You want to know more, you want to share your faith with others, and you want to lead a life that will bring honor to Jesus.
Drinking spiritual milk is undeniably easier, but it doesn’t fully satisfy. Why settle for applesauce when cheeseburgers are what you really crave?
Spending time with Jesus is essential to living life to the fullest. 2 Peter 3:18 (NLT) says,
“…You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…” Matthew 5:6 says,
“God blesses those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.”
God understands the chaos of life and He understands the desires of our heart. When we hunger for God and crave to grow closer to Him, He will meet us there. Spiritual meat is something to be desired and something that we can obtain despite life’s circumstances.
