If you or a friend doubt you can handle what life throws at you next, this blog post is for you. Read on to figure out how to react to downright hard times in your life. With the help of Matthew West and his song, "Strong Enough," here are 4 things you can start with when you don't know what to do next.

1. Give up.

Give up on the idea that you can fix the problems around you with your own skills and influence. None of us are strong enough on our own, and that's the point. The first step in allowing God to help us is admitting that we desperately need Him. Matthew West puts it very eloquently in his lyrics -
Strong Enough 1"Maybe that's the point To reach the point of giving up Cause when I'm finally Finally at rock bottom Well, that's when I start looking up And reaching out" - "Strong Enough" by Matthew West

2. Pray.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us simply to, "Never stop praying." We're talking about a constant relationship with a God who considers you a friend (John 15:15). Tell Him about your worries and heartache. He wants to give you peace, wisdom, and the strength to get through the hard times. It all starts with prayer. 3. Look at God's strength.

When our focus is on God and His beautiful plan and purpose, everything else falls into place and doesn't feel as gigantic. God has it under control. Spend some time in His Word, soaking in His promises. You'll be surprised how much of a difference it makes.
Strong Enough 2"Hands of mercy won't you cover me Lord right now I'm asking you to be Strong enough Strong enough For the both of us" - "Strong Enough" by Matthew West

4. Hold on.

No doubt, if you stick it out and keep focusing on God and growing closer to Him, He's going to teach you and show you some incredible things. Keep moving forward with your eyes fixed on Christ. He won't let you down.
Matthew West Strong Enough"Each time he said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
