The Wally Show

His Words Will Live On

Posted 7 hours ago - Sep 11, 2025

From: Wally

I stared at my phone in disbelief as I watched the video of Charlie Kirk being shot and killed at his event in Utah. That image is going to stay with me for a while—not just for how graphic it was, but for what it represents.

It is a signal that we are far more divided and disconnected as a society than we’d like to believe. It carries the connotation: “I don’t just hate your beliefs, I hate YOU for believing them.” And it represents the loss of decency when taking a man’s life for his words somehow feels justifiable in someone’s twisted mind.

That’s why on the show today I wanted to talk about the power of words. Words can speak life or bring death. So I did not want to add any words that would pour fuel on this fire. Instead, I wanted to focus on some of the words in the songs we play—words that bring healing and hope.
