Stryper's salvation story shocked me!
Posted 4 weeks ago - Sep 18, 2026
From: WallyI am not ashamed to admit that, as a kid, I had Stryper posters on my wall. I wanted to be Stryper. I was even in a Christian hair metal band called Heaven’s Fire! We never made it, though—shocker.
But Stryper was the G.O.A.T.! So, sitting down with them today was a chance to check an interview off my bucket list. I thought I knew them, but the role Jimmy Swaggart played in their salvation story shocked me, and their honesty rocked me.
